SkyQuest International Announces Sale & Delivery of 2002 Cessna 208 Caravan Amphibian Aircraft

Winston-Salem, NC – Monday, May 9, 2016 – SkyQuest International, LLC is pleased to announce the sale and delivery of one (1) 2002 Cessna 208 Caravan Amphibian aircraft (Serial Number: 208-00356, Registration: C-FTMO) to a private buyer.

The 208 Caravan is a popular high-wing, single-engine turboprop aircraft, short-haul airliner and utility aircraft that is built in the USA by the Cessna Aircraft Company. The airplane typically seats nine passengers with a single pilot, although with a FAR Part 23 waiver it can seat up to fourteen passengers. The basic 208 airframe can be outfitted with various types of landing gear, allowing it to operate in a wide variety of environments. Common adaptations include skis, enlarged tires for unprepared runways and floats on the Caravan Amphibian model. The Cessna 208 is used by governmental organizations and by a large number of companies for police, air ambulance, passenger transport, air charter, freight and parachuting operations. Fedex Feeder is the largest operator of the Cessna 208, with over 250 aircraft in use in its fleet.

There are currently 59 Cessna 208 Caravans on the market today, with 2,303 in service or in storage. Eight (8) Cessna Caravans have been sold in the past 30 days, continuing a trend of one Caravan being purchased every 96 hours on the secondary market.
